1. The products in the Biostrand Detoxifying & Replenishing Program are designed to work together.
2. From Toxiclenz to Structurein 2.1 the program works as (SYNERGISM), one product supporting the next recommended product.
3. The usage of Biostrand and the frequency of usage are determined by the existing conditions within your hair & scalp environment.

These textures normally use a smaller amount of product per each phase of usage & should only need to replenish from 3 to 10 minutes with Cortephx (unless the hair becomes damaged; then 15 - 30 minutes as required). The thicker and longer the hair the, lager the amount of product required.

Daily Usage:

1. Using Body-Temperature water lather Toxiclenz 1 time & rinse. Note: After the hair's performance has improved (1-3 weeks) the user can begin alternately using Clinsme only or Toxiclenz & Clinsme. With exposure to toxins or dirt begin using both again until the natural luster & body returns to the hair.
2. Lather 1 time using Clinsme & rinse, repeat as needed. Use Body-Temp water.
3. Massage Cortephx (quarter-size & more if needed) into the hair & scalp, rinse after 3-7 mins. If hair is dry 10-20 mins.; cover with a plastic cap / towel / plastic cap, then rinse thoroughly. Detangle hair using fingers / no combing!
4. Mist using Phorme on thick to coarse hair / Phorme Ultra Light generously on Fine to Medium textures & style as usual. Mist as needed during drying & styling The Phorme that's right for your texture should be used misted 2-3 times through out the day to help maintain your hair & scalp's PMB levels, only when needed. Note: Phorme or Ultra Light should be applied to hair generously when sun tanning or during outdoor sports in extreme hot or cold temperatures.
5. Apply Fine throughout wet hair using a very light touch twice weekly (1/2 pump on soft to normal hair textures & more for thicker coarser textures).
6. Scalpasn can be applied to the scalp prior to Cortephx & rinse; then reapplied to scalp as a leave-in to continue combating any scalp disorders. DO NOT USE ON OPEN LESIONS!
   a. Scalpasn may also be applied to the scalp if itching or irritations are present.
   b. Can be used safely to soothe the scalp from chemical irritations; apply to scalp 5-15 mins then rinse, reapply as a leave-in if needed, Scalpasn can be used daily until symptoms are reduced.
7. Structurein 2.1 should be applied quarterly to insure the strength of the hair.
   a. Shampoo & Replenish as usual, rinse Cortephx lightly towel leaving hair as damp as possible.
   b. Comb hair smooth using a large comb keeping hair moist.
   c. Lightly apply 2.1 to the hair only.
   d. Rinse thoroughly after 1 minute.
Note: Structurein 2.1 (Structure-in) Hair Strengthening Formula is a creme-based formula enhanced with proteins to strengthen the hair strand after the hair has been replenished through the consistent use of the Biostrand System. First application should be to the entire strand and future applications to new growth only. Structurein 2.1 should be applied very carefully to the new growth. This process is especially recommended for hair that is chemically treated or under constant use of heat. Whenever the hair ends start to become fragile and start breaking and splitting, then it is time to apply 2.1 to the entire strand again.


Naturally Straight


Weekly Usage: More time and product may be required when cleansing and replenishing once a week.
1. Toxiclenz 2 times & more as needed, rinse well.
2. Clinsme 2-3 times & more as needed, rinse well.
3. Apply Cortephx for 5 -20 mins / plastic cap / warm towel / plastic cap, let replenish, remove cap & Cortephx should no longer be visible on the hair & scalp. If you can still see white cream on the hair this is an indication that the hair & scalp need more time to absorb in. The caps & towel should be placed back on & replenish for an additional 5-10 mins., rinse well & towel dry.
4. Mist Phorme or Ultra Light as needed & proceed with styling.
5. Apply ½ pump Fine. Apply Fine throughout wet hair using a very light touch Fine can be applied to wet or dry hair.
(Note: Should Fine seem too heavy; mix 1-2 pumps into Cortephx in the replenishing phase, rinse follow normal directions. This will give your hair natural protein strengthening without the weight. Fine is a natural Humectant formula.)
6. Apply Scalpasn if needed prior to drying the hair & scalp. DO NOT USE ON OPEN LESIONS!
   a. Scalpasn may also be applied to the scalp if itching or irritations are present.
   b. Can be used safely to soothe the scalp from chemical irritations; apply to scalp 5-15 mins then rinse, reapply as a leave-in if needed, Scalpasn can be used daily until symptoms are reduced.
7. Structurein 2.1 should be applied quarterly to insure the strength of the hair.
   a. Shampoo & Replenish as usual, rinse Cortephx lightly towel leaving hair as damp as possible.
   b. Comb hair smooth using a large comb keeping hair moist.
   c. Lightly apply 2.1 to the hair only.
   d. Rinse thoroughly after 1 minute.
(Note: Structurein 2.1 should only be used if the hair is not showing signs of weakness & breakage.)

Recommendations:

1. Daily usage of the system helps to maintain healthy hair and a healthy scalp. It can also help to correct disorders of the hair & scalp by following the additional directions.
2. Any person should be performing Detoxifying & Normalizing Cleansing; followed by Structural Enhancement Replenishing at least once per week.
3. With Biostrand, "Less is More". Apply the products lightly and more if needed; if your hair becomes heavy or non-responsive, YOU HAVE USED TOO MUCH PRODUCT! Simply re-cleanse if needed & style. Wavy to Curly or Damaged textures normally require more product than naturally or chemically straight hair. Most hairstyles begin bouncing again within a few hours because the hair & scalp absorb the over-used products. A warm damp towel will also remove the excess product and the styling process should be normal from that point.
4. The longer you use Biostrand, the amount of product you are using should lessen and that's a savings to you. Healthy hair that cost you pennies per usage!!!!

Naturally Wavy


These textures will use an average amount of product in each phase. Replenishing should take from 7 to 20 mins with Cortephx (unless the hair becomes damaged; then 20 - 35 minutes as required). Thicker hair will require; more product for the first few usages.

Daily Usage:
1. Using Body-Temperature water lather Toxiclenz on 1-2 times & rinse.
Note: After performance is enhanced (1-3 weeks) the user can begin using Toxiclenz & Clinsme alternately during daily shampooing. If dirt or product-build up occurs using both again until the natural luster & body returns to the hair.
2. Lather Clinsme 1-2 times & rinse, repeat as needed. Use Body-Temp water.
3. Massage Cortephx (quarter-size & more if needed) into the hair & scalp, rinse after 7-20 mins. If hair is dry 20-35 mins.; cover with a plastic cap / towel / plastic cap, then rinse thoroughly. Detangle hair using fingers / no combing! A warm dryer should be used when hair is extreme-dry, damaged or just thicker.
4. Mist using Phorme on thick to coarse hair / Phorme Ultra Light generously on Fine to Medium textures & style as usual. Mist as needed during drying & styling The Phorme that's right for your texture should be used misted 2-3 times through out the day to help maintain your hair & scalp's PMB levels, only when needed. (Note: Phorme or Ultra Light should be applied to hair generously when sun tanning or during outdoor sports in extreme hot or cold temperatures. No rinsing.)

5. Apply Fine to wet hair using the fingertips very lightly twice weekly (1/2 pump on soft to normal hair textures & more for thicker coarser textures).
6. Scalpasn can be applied to the scalp prior to Cortephx & rinse; then reapplied to scalp as a leave-in to continue combating any scalp disorders. DO NOT USE ON OPEN LESIONS!
   a. Scalpasn may also be applied to the scalp if itching or irritations are present.
   b. Can be used safely to soothe the scalp from chemical irritations; apply to scalp 5-15 mins then rinse, reapply as a leave-in if needed, Scalpasn can be used daily until symptoms are reduced.
7. Structurein 2.1 should be applied quarterly after the hair has been replenished through the consistent use of the Biostrand System to insure the strength of the hair.
   a. Shampoo & Replenish as usual, rinse Cortephx lightly towel leaving hair as damp as possible.
   b. Detangle hair using a large comb keeping hair moist.
   c. Lightly apply 2.1 to the hair only. (See 1st time usage on the bottle)
   d. Rinse thoroughly after 1 minute.
Note: Structurein 2.1 Apply after the hair has been replenished through the consistent use of the Biostrand System. A 3-minute application of 2.1 after rinsing Cortephx helps ensure strength when chemicals have been used the same day. Otherwise follow normal usage information.

Naturally Curly


Daily usage: is recommended when the hair is worn in a natural appearance that does not require Thermal finishing. This type of environment is actually much more beneficial for optimal growth from using The Biostrand program. (See daily usage in Naturally Straight or Wavy sections.)

Weekly Usage: More time & product is required when the frequency of usage is reduced.
1. Toxiclenz 2-3 times & more as needed, rinse well. / 1 time after 6 weeks.
2. Clinsme 2-3 times & more as needed, rinse well. / 2 times after 6 weeks.
3. Apply Cortephx for 25-45 mins / plastic cap / warm towel / plastic cap, let replenish, remove cap & Cortephx should no longer be visible on the hair & scalp. If you can still see white cream on the hair this is an indication that the hair & scalp need more time to absorb in. The caps & towel should be placed back on & replenish for an additional 5-10 mins., rinse well & towel dry. See info on adding Fine.
4. Mist Phorme and/or Ultra Light as needed & proceed with styling.
5. Apply ½-full pump of Fine lightly using the fingertips. Fine can be applied to wet or dry hair. If wet continue styling misting with Phorme as needed.
(Note: If the hair needs more shine with less reversion; mix 3-4 pumps into Cortephx in the replenishing phase, rinse follow normal directions. This will reduce the reversion process without the weight. Reversion normally happens due to a lack of oxygen inside of the hair strand. Fine also attracts oxygen for proper moisture balance. Natural shine is enhanced without the hair looking or feeling oily!)
6. Apply Scalpasn if needed prior to drying the hair & scalp for styling or air dry. DO NOT USE ON OPEN LESIONS!
   a. Scalpasn may also be applied to the scalp if itching, flaking or irritations are present; sometimes caused due to long term over usage of heavy styling products such as; gels, pomades, etc.
   b. Can be used safely to soothe the scalp from chemical irritations; (same day). Apply to scalp 5-15 mins then rinse, reapply as a leave-in if needed, Scalpasn can be used daily until symptoms are reduced.
7. Structurein 2.1 should be applied quarterly to insure the strength of the hair after the hair has been replenished through the consistent use of the Biostrand System.
   a. Shampoo & Replenish as usual, rinse Cortephx, lightly towel leaving hair as damp as possible.
   b. Comb hair smooth using a large comb keeping hair moist.
   c. Lightly apply 2.1 to the hair only.
   d. Rinse thoroughly after 1 minute.
(Note: Structurein 2.1 whenever permanent chemicals are used, a 3-minute Structurein should be applied. The 3 minutes should include application and rinsing.)

- On relaxed hair; apply 2.1 to the new growth only after the chemical retouch.
- Only apply to the entire strand every 6-8 week or on a first application of 2.1.
- Structurein should not be used until the client has had 6 to 8 treatments using the entire program. 2.1 is the last phase.

Recommendations:
(Note - Most Curly Textures tend to be thicker and normally require more product per application & Phorme may need to be used 1 - 2 extra times per day. This should always be determined by the texture, feel and level of shine. When the hair feels dry add Phorme, when it looks dry add Fine!

2. Everyone has need of Detoxifying & Normalizing Cleansing; followed by Structural Enhancement Replenishing at least once per week.
3. For clients cleansing bi-monthly or tri-monthly; need add an extra cleanse in each phase and extend The Cortephx usage time by 10 to 15 minutes.
4. With Biostrand, "Less is More". Apply the products lightly and more if needed; if your hair becomes heavy or non-responsive or if you can see or feel product on your hair when styling, YOU ARE USEING TOO MUCH PRODUCT! Simply re-cleanse if needed & style. Wavy to Curly or Damaged textures normally require more product than naturally or chemically straight hair. Most hairstyles begin bouncing again within a few hours because the hair & scalp absorb the over-used products. A warm damp towel will also remove the excess product and the styling process should be normal from that point.

Chemically Colored / Permed / Relaxed


(Note - Once a chemical is applied to any hair texture the hair is challenged to retain Oxygen for Proper Moisture Balance. Every hair texture varies in its PMB levels. You may find a need to increase the usage of your products to compensate for the Damaged caused by the chemical application. Biostrand helps combat unseen Chemical residue and any forms of bacteria that may form due to product buildup.)
